She has worked as a member of library staff as librarian, a journalist, freelance reporter, blogger, and editor to a newsletter. Shea has also worn other hats besides being an author. Ever since then, she’s made it a point to write steadily. She admits that the book was a bit of a mess, but concedes that the writing of it was good practice. She was able to finish her very first novel when she was in the eighth grade. The author has been writing for some time now. She thinks that since life is tough, books ought to be something for the reader that helps them to laugh and relax. Shea admits that she loves witty characters, endings that end happily, and sweet romances. She likes to read books that are similar, so it makes sense that she likes to write stories that are that way. She enjoys writing stories that are funny and clean and have strong characters. At times, she still looks into closets with the hope that she can finally find Narnia.

She has always had a deep love for fairy tales and adventure books. Shea is an author that specializes in the genres of fantasy, romance, and young adult. She likes to refer to her readers as Champions.
